A track cyclist looks across the track for his teammate as they compete in the madison cycling event at Lehigh Valley Velodrome The madison event is unique to track cycling and works like a relay race in running with one rider racing and one resting. When the racing rider needs a break the resting rider will ride up to the racer, the racer will grab his hand throwing him forward and into the race. Breinigsville, Pennsylvania, USA.
